Mainstream was recently approached by a Class A office building in midtown Manhattan about replacing one of their air handling units. The caveat was that the replacement had to be completed over the course of a weekend. Any longer would not be acceptable. In addition to this time restriction, access to the space was tight, so the preexisting unit had to be completely disassembled to be removed. When moving the new unit in, it had to be able to be completely broken down to be delivered.
For Mainstream, these issues were no problem. To reduce the installation time, we manufactured and delivered a modular, knockdown unit that fit the existing space and supplied prefabricated pipe headers and ductwork. By working with a local contractor for the installation, the building’s tenants were able to use air conditioning on Monday morning.
